1:2 Lt. Ripley Bust painted

Hello guys

I just wanted to show off a special project that my self and Steve (wilysteve)
have been working on for the last month.
it´s not finished yet, but we couldn´t wait to show it.:lol

As most of you already know, it was sculpted by Steve a few months back
and this is the first painted one, finished by my self.
I am very happy how it all turned out, and for all the guys that didn´t believe in this piece, I just have to say you were wrong.:love

This is a 1:2 bust, and it´s the best human likeness I have ever seen to date.
You would not believe how good it looks in real life. From all the angles.
Steve really did a fantastic job, capturing Sigourney as Ripley.
I mean it´s one thing to make a bust, and make it life size. But this is just amazing. I could look at it for hours:lol

The bust was painted with an airbrush and a brush. This was one of my first human figures of that scale.
The eyes were handpainted by my self, and they turned out pretty nice.

For those of you who are wondering about the glossy spots on the bust.
It´s supposed to capture the nightmare scene on the spaceship before she decide to go back and confront the Aliens once more.
The bust is not finshed, as we are now working on a special display for her.
Pictures of that will come soon.

Although, if you are interested in this bust and maybe want to get a cast
you are more than welcome to contact me or Steve (wilysteve)

Enough said, over to the pictures

Wow, your painted on sweat looks incredible. Usually when someone does that it just looks like they slapped some clear coat on the brow, but yours is incredibly realistic. Phenominal job!

This really turned out great with Bjorns expert paint job, I'm as happy as larry with the results! Love the eyes, they're really alive. Beautiful paintwork. Thanks to Bjorn and everyone for the kind comments too, I can't stop looking either :lol

Steve.

Bjorn's talents have really shown what a fantastic likeness Steve captured with this piece.
Bravo to both of you.

Now where's that life-size bust, Steve? :love
