I've been on a (very) long quest to finish a hyper accurate build of the Bandai Scout Trooper, and being a member of the 501st who has a very serious attachment to that particular costume I've been stuck on the idea of having actual soft materials covering the parts on the kit that would be soft goods.
Does anyone know of someone who does these types of things? I'm incapable of making them myself as I understand that it is a specialty skill.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have this old Bandai kit of a Patlabor Mecha and while it's a different thing entirely - it's the same size and they used soft pvc to simulate the flexible material covering the joints. It was thin and had molded wrinkles and looked really nice. It went over an internal frame and left most of the posability intact. I was thinking maybe you could temporarily fill the joints with clay and make a sleeve mold for those bits and cast it in urethane rubber or even just straight up paint on some silicone/rubber with a brush, and build up a thin layer? Sorry it's not exactly what you asked for, but it's what I'd try I guess...

That actually sounds like an amazing idea to enhance the boots and the gloves! I'm definitely going to try that out for those! I may have found a seller on Etsy that can custom make the other parts. I should find out soon if they are able to do it. I would love to update on my progress once I get started!
