Hey friends!

Just wanted to post a quick teaser of my newest WIP. Similar to last life-sized bust, I'm finishing him as Sir Ian first then adding the prosthetics to the bust before molding.

If you make a mold in between your two sculpt phases could have a magneto bust as well!

This is turning out nice. I would love to see this cast in silicone and with the hair punched.

Looks great!

I'm surprised nobody has done him yet!?

He's a great choice for a 1:1 bust...

1. Unique look!
2. Character from a movie that all us geeks love!
3. Another upcoming movie to generate more interest in the bust!

I'll also add that the Magneto idea is a good idea too...

The problem with many 1:1 busts is the difficulty in getting the hair just right and super realistic

with Magneto all you'd really have to do is put that helmet on him and you're all set!

You're off to a fine start. One can already see who the intended sculpt represents.

Thanks guys! Great feedback and great ideas! I have plans on definitely doing the Gray and White versions. Magneto would be cool too, but Gandalf is CLASSIC!

I'll keep you all posted for sure! Lots of pics coming!! He's getting there!

Hi friends!

I just finished up the sculpt for the Ian McKellen Gandalf bust! Here are the pics... The nose is obviously Gandalf's, but rest assured that it's easy enough to do a clay press and resurrect old Ian should the need arise! LOL!
