1:1 McQuarrie Fett helmet WIP Sculpt

I am finishing up the 1:1 Mcquarrie Stormtrooper helmet and got started on the 1:1 Mcquarrie Fett helmet based off this pic and the new action figure.

Progress on the McQuarrie Fett sculpt.No where near done still roughing everyting in. Then will tweak it a bit.

This helmet always had a slight resemblence to the Black Hoke Sentry..Or maybe vice/versa...

Here is a quick vid of the final sculpt its hard to see the smaller details because of the clear cot being so shiny.

The transition mold has been made .I will be pulling the master cast today so I can refine it and make my master mold.

Here are some quick pics of the master cast.

As you can see I still have a lot of sanding to do. I am also going to make a recessed area for the rf stalk to sit it. The RF top and stalk are just hot glued in place for these pics and haven't been molded yet.

Its getting closer. I still need to cut out the eye section and retool the inner rim of the eye piece as well as the flat mouth area where the aerators go.

Here is a quick pic today. I cut out the visor and the flat section in the mouth area. The reason i cut out the flat section is becaue when I was building it the piece of plastic I had in ther shifted while I was sculpting it so it wasnt flush.Now it will be once I replace it.

I also notice yesterday the nose was off slightly to the left at the bottom and wasnt centered so I fixed that as well and now its straight.

Now I just basically have to sand and fill.Build the aerators and it should be ready for molding finally.

Getting a visor in this helmet is going to be interesting to say the least with the deeply recessed eye slot in the corners but Ill figure something out I may sculpt in a ridge on the exterior so the visor could be glued form the front but it would still be inset like its supposed to be.

Well here is the first pull of the SGB MQ Fett helmet.This one hasnt been weathered yet or had the lense installed but wanted to take some pics of it.I want to weather it slightly to make all the carved in details/lines pop out a little more.Its hard to see the small detail because the whole helmet is white.
