1:1 lifesize RX-78 Gundam

Not sure if anyone's seen this yet, but apparently this was made for the Bandai Museum in Japan. Thought it would be interesting to post here:

I filed a paypal dispute and got my money back. The seller said it would ship as soon as the money cleared paypal. He meant from when it goes into his paypal account until he has a check from paypal in his hand. I waited very close to 90 days and then canceled.

It was around 600 bucks plus almost 200 for shipping.

Well that sculpture is pretty darned cool. I'm not a Gundam fan, but I can surely appreciate the amazing amount of work that it took to make a life-sized one! I wouldn't turn it down for a playscape in my back yard!

90 days? Damn!

$800 total is pretty cheap for a 1/6 mobile suit. Was this off Ebay??

None of the pictures show the bottom half, though. Is this a 1:1 scale version of the RX-78 for the upper portion only?

Yeah, at the time there were 2 for sale. One from Japan that I tried to purchase and one from someone in the military who was moving. I went for the one from Japan because it was unassembled. The one from the military guy was built (but broke down into like 12 pieces) and I wanted to build it from scratch.

I've seen them pop up from time to time since, but have never had the cash again to try and buy one.
