Within two weeks I should have a set of Mark 1 armor mailed to me.

It is only the hard exterior armor/helmet that I have purchased thus far. I need help identifying some screen caps of the under clothes Tony wears under the armor.

Can anyone help me source what I need to get for under the armor?

I'm pretty sure the under suit was leather.

Great work! What kind of material did you use to make the suit? Foam, fiberglass, cardboard?

Very true... The green stuff is the best medium I work in.

It is made of resin though. ;)

In the movie I think he's wearin black dusty jeans with a brown/weathered jacket n brown gloves... Idk if that helps but good luck and the suit that was made with money is awesome :lol

I would look into welder's clothes... Jacket, pants, gloves

The undersuit was leather welding gear. Not entirely sure about the pants and whatever was hanging out the back, but I remember looking at the movie and noticing the welding jacket, gloves and apron as he was climbing into the suit.

That's awesome. And to think - he built that in a cave with a box of scraps!

Yeah, that looks right. I think his shirt was lighter colored and the arms and chest were the reddish leather. He used heavy welding gloves and I think the pants might have had a set of welding chaps over the pants but I would have to do some screen grabs to be sure.

The key to this undersuit is leather, dirt, and more leather. Oh yeah, don't forget more dirt!

Actually I got the armor in today, but several parts broke in transit.

I emailed the seller, we will see how this shakes out. I just hope he is legit and got insurance on the package.

    Pics to come.

Alright... The seller will be fixing this issue by replacing these parts...

So now I need you all to VOTE on something

    Which helmet should I use?

Option 1: - The Helmet it came with
    [IMG]

Option 2: - The Licensed Mark 1 Helmet

The Helmet that came with the suit looks closer to the screen used helmet, The Licensed helmet is a bit off especially the eye openings and weld lines, IMO the one that comes with the suit is the better choice

Thanks, these look awesome unfortunately I don't have the funds right now. Maybe here in a few months I can upgrade.

On a side note, the jacket and mannequin should be in later today.. So I should be able to get the upper body together to see what it will look like.

I'll snap some shots when I get it up.

it's funny, I never paid much attention to the Mark 1 when I've watched the movie. I was just impressed with the nice shiny and red ironman outfit...

but seeing the Mark 1 here... when you're wearing it... that's just about the most badass costume ever!!

    Kudos to you

    Update:

I got the mannequin in. I am afraid that it may be too skinny and too tall. I sent the thighs back in to be replaced so I won't know for sure if the mannequin will work for at least another week.

As long as the thighs will fit I think I can bulk it up and shorten it enough to look good, I'm just worried the thighs won't fit or go high enough.

Wow, other than the broken parts this seems really cool. What is it made of?
Also, if it's not a secret, can you share where you bought is from?

That's a whole load of awsomeness standing there. As Roblightyeah said, seeing the MK1 here kinda makes it more interesting than the ones that follow.

Yeah, that's the helmet I ended up keeping. I think it is a lot better than the licensed one.

Good choice...the licensed one is just to clean looking. The shipped one is a much better fit for the suit.

I wasn't really planning on selling it, but I'm open to a discussion.

PM me what you could pay and I will give it some consideration.
