"TriForce Sales, LLC announced today that it has started taking pre-orders for the 1:1 scale replicas of the Lancer Assault Rifle ($949.99)"

Obviously made by Nightmare Armor. Looks cool but $950.00 is way too much for a static prop. :rolleyes

That is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
I'm more of a Halo fan, but I gotta say...that gun is fantastic.

I'll give it that it's amazing detail and appears to be quality craftsmanship, but not worth $950. I can name off ALOT of things you can get for that price...
 
It looks ok, a lot of the WOW factor is kinda lost due to the fact that it's obviously a 1 peice cast so it doesn't look mechanical at all.
 
It's a gorgeous looking prop, but as everyone else has stated, that kinda cashola warrants something other than a static prop.

Yea, for that money, I can get a $200 shotgun and probably $80-$100 chainsaw, and some duct tape. Then I'll have a functional weapon for less than half the price of that....

That thing better be able to protect my houshold AND chop some tree's down for christmas, or else, Im not paying that much
 
Wow... looks awesome though.

I wonder how much of the 950$ is lic fees. GOW is a pretty hot property right now...

I honestly expected something like a buildup kit you could pop over an airsoft, never thought it would be a 1:1 solid piece.

For 950$ though, I would want a trigger ;)

This ones a bit odd. This piece apparently was done with the assistance of one of the Nightmare Armor artists, but looks less like the in game Lancer model than the original pieces built directly by Nightmare Armor and used in the photo shoots with Cliffy B. and company. Lots less.

Take a look at the Lancer model photos and game screen shots floating around. There are many of differences compared to this piece. Unless this is based on some sort of revised version of the Lancer from Gears 2 this is pricey and not so accurate. :thumbsdown

It looks like they left a few things out and added one or two things in. For one It's missing ALL the decals and some of the parts are supposed to light up. For $950 you'd think they could throw in some simple electronics for the lights and maybe sound.

This is comparing it to my GOW figures Lancer Rifle and Screen Shots from the game.

Also is it me, or is there not enough blood?
 
Being a huge fan of GOW, i can honestly say i'm not impressed.

That to me looks like a $200 replica not a $900+

Now i'm never one to really critizize. However it looks like its made from plastic, the paintjob and blood is awful. It looks way too skinny, and also the wrong colour.
If this is the officially licensed replica, i am very dissapointed.

And, where the hell is the trigger, did they forget about it, or did it fall off??

Just as well i was making my own replicaa from GOW.....just gotta finish this beeach!!!

I think the trigger ran off because of the overall inaccuracy.

Now you're talking!! I was looking at your old thread wondering if you ever finished that thing(...and make kits). Get to it! The hammerburst owns the damn lancer any day anyway ;)

Besides being over priced that Lancer is not BIG enough

Now the piece of art in the photo above is BIG enough
and hands down far better than the lancer, I think ;)

It looks like a toy, and a cheap one at that. :confused

A $950 replica should look... uuummm... metal? functional? better? not fake?

If that's the final product, I'll wait for these to hit $250 and still pass. :thumbsdown
 
can i get in line now for a hammerburst, great job on it!! As for the Lancer, it looks like they put it on a diet, then they cast it. :thumbsdown
