Bravo. Nicely done... Is that latex hanging off the sides of the egg?

    YES REALLY NICE JOB.
The netting is most likly Hotglue from a glue gun.
You heat the glue up and you press the glue out.
While you do that you let the glue partially dry and keep pressing til you hit the other side then stick it on.
After a minute its glued on. It will still be partial flexible.

If Bjørnd did it otherwise i whould like him to call me ;)

I think what they're talking about is the netting on the actual "petals" of the egg, rather than the strings of what appears to be hotglue _between_ the open petals.

    Outstanding job.

    Thanks alot everyone

The net that goes around the body of the egg is latex. The other thin lines on the top is hot glue yes.
The egg was made in foam latex.

Man, that's a killer job you did on them both. :eek

I've been building one of the FH kits to do a similar layout and was curious if you'd share how you did the detail in the creases.
I've tried a couple different approaches, but the result just doesn't seem to play out. Either it overdarkens the whole area or wipes out of the creases. :rolleyes

Killer job on the eggs Bjorn. And ditton on what FMC said about the creases.

Your egg have inspired me to make one of my own but I'll need all the tips I can get on the detailing. I have worked with latex before and have some idea how to make the 'web' effect, but of course would appreciate any info you are willing to share.

    Oh MAN..., that's beautiful.

I love it, it looks gooey, scary and strangely arousing :lol

I have a 'hugger kit here (you know the latex pink coloured one) and a day off, you've just inspired me to have a go at painting it :)

    Cheers,

    Kraig
