Finally got my new Digital camera. Here's a pic taken this afternoon. I'm finishing the rest of the body as you read this. I've used Sculpey for years, but this is the first time I attempt to replicate a realistic human form, and scaled:

The miniature head I made, not the hand holding it. That's my hand. I still have to do some repairs and finishing to the shoulder shield and around the head.

Re: My first Sculpey scaled sculpt.

Nicely done! All my sculpts look like muppets with a few extra chromosomes.

Re: My first Sculpey scaled sculpt.

that is an awesome sculpt, I am drawing a blank on the subject matter, It looks spot on but my brain isn't putting it together, what's it from? It's killing me. My brain keep flashing to a Miyazaki character but that's doesn't seem right.

Not many can get an open mouth right... this certainly looks right. Keeping an eye on this! :thumbsup

Close, but no.

I'd rather not mention were it is from, since the subject is always a buzzkill here, regardless the artistic quality put into the work. Yes, it is Japanese oriented.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. More pics coming today.

Re: My first Sculpey scaled sculpt.

You are killing me :) I'm gonna remember here shortly, it's one of those things that is right on the tip of my brain and eatting me alive, I'm gonna kick myself when I remember what it's from.

Anyhow, the sculpt looks wicked, and for a first attempt at a human likeness, incredible, with some practice and confidence under your belt, there's no telling what you will be able to do. Congrats on the great start, I look forward to seeing more!

~Edit~ Ahhh I got it, yeah you know I had a glimpse of her face in my mind and thought I knew what it was from the first second, but then second guessed myself. Great job :) And I don't care if some don't regard the source highly, a great sculpt is a great sculpt.

Looks like that chick from one of those Power Ranger movies.
It was her and some guy with muscles and a brain showing. Kinda
looking like Jason did in Jason X but just red and chrome.

Yes? NO? ..... :confused

Man that came out great, the shot from above, I thought it was a film comparison shot from the show. Wicked good job!
