Has any identification been done for the Deathwatch rifle blaster as seen in the The Mandalorian tv show?

I'm guessing the base gun is Defense Technologies 37mm Gas Gun so just wondering about the scope and any greeblies that might have been used?

It would make sense to go with the cheaper option instead of buying a bunch of real ones and then ruining them by putting stuff on them

My only hesitation is what the front of the barrel looks like. From what I have seen from other blue guns, there is no hole for the barrel. However, even if there is a slight step to indicate an opening, it could be what was used. I have not seen any good images of the prop looking down the barrel but the ones I did see, there is some sort of hole there, although it might be very shallow.

Of course they could have modified them to drill in a barrel.

or

Modified one and used that as a master to mold along with any other mods they made.

im curious of the other side, looks like it has detailed lines/screws and plates

If you are asking about the blue training pieces; I was watching. A video about and the guy was talking about that the replicas are made by casting actual weapons. They even have country of origin and serial number markings and ensure they are actual size. They want to replicate the sizing accurately to unsure they work with things like the trainees actual holsters.

PartsofSW did a breakdown of this rifle on their FB page (including the scope model). I don't do FB, but I was able to view the images/info.
Thanks! Here is the scope if anyone is interested......

exactly, it also looks like its got ovals around the barrel... dont know the technical term used but its seen on all sorts of floating rifle barrel jackets

Yes, it does appear to have slots on the barrel/shroud. Maybe that foregrip can be mounted up and down the barrel/shroud?

It looks to me like the whole barrel is covered with a vented shroud, looking at the blue gun vs the screen caps you can see that the flare around the chamber is different

Edit to add: it’s pretty clear from the Hot Toys Deathwatch trooper that the barrel is shrouded.
