i found the source of that document when i made a set of ship's papers for our firefly rpg, many years ago. it's the maritime code for vietnam, dating way back to the 70's (it's been revised many times, but remains largely the same). i can't find the precise one now, but i did when i made it...

wow, i never knew there were such awesome guns in these movies! that pistol totally reminds me of the russian silenced revolver, the OTS-38. all the pieces line up pretty perfectly, unless i missed something. what do you guys think?

awesome idea, but i personally would rather have a full-scale firefly.. :D in the star wars universe, i'd prefer the outrider to the falcon, imho. everyone has their favorites, though. hats off to anyone with the time, money, and skill to make whatever their favorite is!

for the emblem, maybe take it to a custom engraving shop and see if they can handle contoured wood like that..? another option would be to make the emblem on thin metal and then screw it in.
