    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Since there's nothing too unique (hardware or otherwise) it's pretty easy to make one with the supplies I normally stock in my leather shop (now that I designed the pattern and figured out how to make it). Just a bit time consuming with all the sewing and detailing.

Check out this thread (https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/game-of-thrones-jorah-mormont-sword-belt-scabbard-build.232235/). It should have all the pics and info. The sword belt is basically just a wide belt which holds that scabbard and a narrow belt that passes through the wide belt in the...

    1/700 USS Baltimore CA-68

Not sci-fi related but I finally finished this model after almost 2 years of on and off work and wanted to post it. I've built some 1/700 scale ships in the past but wanted to try to go all the way with sea diorama, and all the photoetch, detail parts, and rigging I could muster. Turned out to...

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Just a quick update - I added another small row of stitching to match the original and better secure the welt.

    Halcyon USS Sulaco

Very nice work! But the real question is where did you get that case? I need that in my life!

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Oh! I definitely thought about that. I decided to put the snap on the inside so that the outside profile remains faithful to the original. Both the snap and belt loop still work when on a belt but it is a little inconvenient to unsnap it (Though maybe that's good so it doesn't accidentally come...

Very cool! Got any pictures of your original Safariland you'd share?

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Yeah, not only would it be difficult to source and install the spring but I'd hate pull out my blaster too fast and rip off all the greeblies.

You can usually get them on sale or used on Ebay or something. They are pretty nice boots too so the extra cost could be worth...

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Thanks for the compliments! I've been thinking about making this for probably a year and have had that green suede sitting on my shelf for almost that long. It's no nice to see a project finally come to fruition. Funky - I'm probably gonna add this to my Etsy store at some point. I'm thinking...

And some pictures of the final product. Once the holster dried up a bit I was able to buff a nice shine back into it. Fits the blaster snuggly but not too snuggly and I like how the suede lining turned out. Now I just need a better blaster.

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Another view of the newly burnished edge. And got the welt all stitched up. Since the welt made the edge so thick the stitches got a little off line on the backside but that's fine. It's not noticeable and easy to fix next time around and the front is nice and straight. Finally...

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

All the holes punched and ready for stitching. Everything stitched up on each half of the holster. Takes a bit of time to saddle stitch everything but it's not too complicated a stitch up. Mostly just flat surfaces. I also beveled, dyed, and burnished the outside edges so each half is pretty...

    Blade Runner Blaster Holster Build

Been trying to score Deckard's blaster for a while but it's a pretty big project to commit to. In the meantime, I grabbed the Takagi version which would be a good start on which to model the holster. Here's how I did it: First, I grabbed all the reference material I could find and properly...
