So once again I procrastinated in making a new costume for Dragoncon in ATL this year. I had originally planned on throwing together a Star Lord out of things from around the house. But then I came across Jim's video on brokenreelpro's YouTube channel for his one day build Star Lord helmet. So I...
Understandable. All I know is that dinky little snap was of no help on my jacket, it actually made the collar uncomfortable for me. Thats why I think some dark brown Velcro on one side and white on the other would work better, but that's just me.
I think when I get my Large back, I'm going to alter the collar tab so it looks better. Either the movie used brown and white Velcro or nothing at all as you can see from these pics:
I'm 6'1" and 170 lbs, tall and fairly thin. I ordered a medium, got it, and felt it was just a bit too short / tight. I sent it back for a Large last week, we'll see. I normally wear a medium in things. Hope that helps.
So how many quotes are being used on jacket tags? Are they associated with the size or random? My medium that I just sent in for exchange was the kick your teeth in quote, while his XS was the toothpick quote.
I've been trying to get a hold of Get Go Retro for the past four days to do an exchange, emails and phone calls. Anyone having trouble getting in touch with them, or know a better contact route?
Here's everything together, minus the denim jacket (wearing it was roasting me!).
I wanted to wear it everywhere! It's November 1st and I still wanna wear this get up. :lol
It was only like 3-5 bucks a can. I found it at one of the local seasonal Halloween stores that pop up every late September. If you google it, that's where I found the pic and it was listed for like 4 bucks.
Just Google "Fake Blood Spray". It should pop right up.
Re: finally a garment fine enough to be married in...
I feel ya on how people might react to our costumes. I've been having mixed reviews on it, lol. Hopefully downtown Denver will hold more people who've seen Drive than my place of work! :unsure
