City of Binghampton Sign
I am not sure what production this came from, but this was one of my more recent procurements.
Some of the last things I ever bought at Film Biz Recycling
And various items I got when Film Biz Recycling went out of business last month. The Playbill is from Smash...
I got these plates for when I do picture car work. It is the same plate number used on the detective's car on the original Law & Order and is a clear number.
And now they are screen used on episode 402 of Blue Bloods.
I also have the NYC Schedule A filming permit that goes with this, but it...
The plates in the top row come from the movie Won't Back Down (the rest are from unknown productions plus a real one in the bottom left).
Oddly, the one at the top right is a real plate.
A lot of productions in New York will donate to Film Biz Recycling in Brooklyn. They are a non-profit, so the production can get a tax break. Some of the set pieces and wardrobe goes to various charities and some of it gets sold in their store - think giant thrift shop with all sorts of things...
I mentioned before that I do picture car work with my car (as seen on 30 Rock's final episode). However, I don't want to have my real license plate on screen, so I got a pair of prop plates made up which came with prop registration and inspection stickers for the windshield. Hopefully they will...
This would be an DMV correct version of the ECTO1A plate from Ghostbusters 2.
All you would need to do would be emboss ECTO1A and COMMERCIAL for it to look like something from Albany.

Here it is on the props truck.

Walking Dead rumour: production moving to NY?
Working on some sets in NYC, I have heard the following rumour:
The Walking Dead is going to be moving production to New York next season.
One of the main reasons behind this is because the stars are unhappy with filming in the middle of nowhere...
Back in 2007 I went to the Sopranos Garage Sale where they opened up their prop warehouse and sold stuff. I couldn't get there on the first day but I picked up some stuff and photos.
Here is one of the photos from inside, more here.

My car gets more visible screen time than I do. Does this increase the value? ;)
Here it is on the last episode of 30 Rock and they let me keep the prop plates.
And on Smash - Season 2 episode 9
I am waiting to see how visible it will be in a few other shows which haven't aired yet.
