So I've gotten this far with this Cap helmet for a friend, but for some reason, the leather parts are breaking my brain. I can't find a usable pattern anywhere, or even what it looks like under the strapping. Can anyone lend me a peek?

Here are some shots of my Negan bat...I'll probably add more "wire," but it's not too bad for what was a few hours' work on a black plastic bat.

Forgive the question, but does anyone have an "order" in which they'd suit up? Does the vest go outside the leathers? He's so dusty and bristling with gear that I can't see the forest for the trees. ;)

I've used it to great effect. If the gap is too wide say 1/2 inch-plus, I usually glue a support behind it, this way there's something for it to stick to.

Not wood filler, as you're not filling wood! Get some PC-11, it's a 2 part epoxy that is fully sandable. For any bigger gaps try mighty putty or any other clay-like epoxy kit (look in the plumbing section of your hardware store). Damn. I need a 3D printer. :(
