Thanks - its definitely the aluminium one. The resin one has the nickel plated shiny tri-ring. Its here below - and has been on display in the UK before I think. You can see the LEDs have been painted and there is no gap underneath the circuit board.

Thank you - its kind of straight from the lathe really without any super polishing then speckled from a distance with black paint - some is still visible - gonna have another go - then rubbed with a cloth and touched in again with blackened/dirty Tamiya thinners and rubbed again to smear it a bit.
