I've been searching for fabric for the vest and the closest I've found is this Shetland Wool Low Contrast Herringbone Twill Tweed. This specific cloth appears to no longer be available :( but I do think I've found fabrics closer to the correct texture since I've started searching for Shetland...

Ahh, I am not alone in trying to get a version ready for SDCC and stabbing themselves while attempting to sew leather... If you see another Rey that looks similar feel free to say hi! haha. I modded the knockoff Uggs that I posted about earlier in the thread. I didn't take any progress pics but...

I did a lot of searching for a heavy basketwoven upholstery fabric and didn't have any luck, but that one could be really good in brown. Any idea on a timeline for that color? I'm in a bit of a crunch trying to get a basic version of the costume done for SDCC, but I'll be continuing work on it...
