    My Collection

If anyone cares, I build my own custom display stands. They're made out of plastic spacers lawn furniture is shipped with and rectangular metal tubes that support the corners of grill boxes (stuff that's normally thrown out). In pretty white and silver or classic black. Wider to accommodate a...

    John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (Post-release)

Finally saw it. Good but not great. Beginning to hate films that end up being one long set up for the next film.

    Graflex hardware saber

The more I think about it, the more I think I don't want to use this tube. The finish is just too dark. I achieved some good results simulating a brushed finish on a plumbing pipe with a Scotchbrite pad, so I think I'll go with that. But I may still revisit this tube in the future, maybe for a...

    The Dead Don't Die (Post-release)

So that's it? No one else is going to see it?

    Luc Besson's Anna (Post-release)

Between Besson's standard "hot chick kicks butt" and the current favorite "girl trained as Russian spy", I'm not seeing anything great. Maybe I'll see it, maybe I won't, but it's not high on my list of priorities.

    The Dead Don't Die (Post-release)

Okay, I saw it and I'll freely admit it wasn't as good as the trailer would have led you to believe. That's not to say it's bad, it's just not as good as I'd hoped. And to address the "boring" assessment? It's is definitely not a fast paced, action packed romp. There was a line early in the...

    The Dead Don't Die (Post-release)

Two problems with that, one of which should be obvious... Second, why boring? Because there wasn't a bunch of action set pieces and CG explosions every five minutes? Looks to be like the film is mostly dialogue driven and it's the characters and their line delivery that make it interesting. I...

    The Dead Don't Die (Post-release)

Everyone's in it. The trailer looks very good. Call me a cynic, but I'm a little concerned... What if they put all the good stuff from the movie in the trailer? I'm definitely going to see it. Saw an interview with Selena Gomez today and she let out a major spoiler regarding her character...

    Graflex hardware saber

Did a rough cut with a Dremel abrasive cutting disc and cleaned it up with a sanding drum. I plan on using some manufactured ESB style grips (Blastech I think). I'm rethinking the clamp too. A bit too bright next to the tube.

On Saturday I finally broke down and bought a drill press and today I found a brushed metal tube at work. I love it when a plan comes together!

    Brightburn (Post-release)

Finally got around to seeing it. Not a great movie, but I don't feel bad for having seen it. While there is a set up for sequels, I don't know if that's something we really need. It made nearly 27 million on a 7 million dollar budget, so it's at least a financial possibility.

Merchandise and props you can buy at Disney’s upcoming Galaxy’s Edge attraction.

So, who's doing a run of these? :p Seriously, I don't care. Has the E-Bay/everything's for sale culture gone so far that we're now stealing and reselling cafeteria silverware? Pathetic. Just for the record, it's this kind of disregard for others that inspired my general purpose contempt for...

ANOVOS Sued in a 5 miliion class action suit

If Anovos goes bankrupt, customers definitely won't receive their product, but if the studios are held responsible, at least they should get their money back.
