Hello, and thank you very much to anyone willing to provide any input. In order to make a bust based upon the appearance of Jason Voorhees in my favorite Friday The 13th movie - Part 3 - it is unavoidable that I must make a copy of the Stan Winston pullover mask worn underneath the hockey mask...
Seems like it's either one of those worn by Bernie Parent or Lindbergh. They made slight changes over the years to the designs of the same basic model of mask, altering vent hole placement, eyehole shape, and even minorly altering the overall shape of the mask.
I've been wondering what kind of vacuum forming system would likely have been used to make the original Friday The 13th (Part III) hockey masks, which were supposedly pulled in acrylic in 1981/82.
Thank you very much for sharing all of this! If you don't mind my asking, what was the thickness of the plastic used for the successive levels of vacuum forming?
Yeah, there are even pictures from the wrap party of John Carpenter's Halloween showing two guys wearing the masks, and others with all three of The Coup De Villes performing an acoustic set with them on too. Redirect Notice
Here's another detail I noticed in the text on their Kickstarter page: "The machine is circular in shape with a forming area measuring 400x400x160 mm, large enough for even the most demanding tasks. With its circular shape, it can manufacture small products simultaneously with high efficiency."...
One thing that I noticed just a few minutes ago when I went to their website is that, according to their information, the "desktop" machine would weigh about 110 pounds.
