No it’s all kit parts I have raided from my stash. I think the flared tube you are referring to is from either the Revell Volstok or the AMT Allison engine.

Small update to the antenna array and truss for the tanks.

A little more work on the truss that will hang the fuel tanks. Need to make 2 trusses and a bunch of differing sizes of tanks. At this point, I’m just making it up as I go along….

I’m building this in sub assemblies before gluing everything together, due to some paint needed in some hard to get areas. Slowly but surely…..

There is a link in this thread (somewhere) to the shapeways website where the files are kept. They are free to download or pay shapeways to print it for you, although it’s quite pricey.

Got my kit this weekend and the castings are amazing. I was truly shocked at how big this thing is! I’m excited to get going on it!
