I own one of Paul's "Voyage Back To Your Youth" Seaview kits. Got it in 1992 from a seller who incorrectly ID'd it as a an Oz Shop kit in their listing in Starlog magazine. I believe that it was an extremely limited release back in the pre-internet 90's.
A Google search search says that the Aurora kit was 116th scale. I had both kits back in the 70's and the Lindberg kit was much smaller from my recollection. That 116th scale was probably derived from the box size selected.
I often play the Star Trek slots at Caesars in Windsor. During the bonus cut scene, you can see (Nichelle Nichols) smiling as she does a shake and tumble during a phaser hit on the Enterprise. It's from a TOS episode used by WMS to open the Klingon attack bonus in the first level.
Buying an Unobtainable 3ft TOS Enterprise model. Seller said it had problems with cracked resin and oily colorations. What he said was true and the UPS man added some more breaks to the model. Sat in my garage for a year before selling to a member who wanted to disassemble and try to cast parts...
Passed on couple of the lighted circuit boards from the original Lost in Space Jupiter 2 set.
I bought two control panels in that deal. A SAGE Radar controller that was used somewhere in LIS (maybe the space pod). A cut down panel from the Spindrift, that was recycled to the POTA "escape" space...
Most impressive. Congratulations on your find. I have a Teskey FS-1 model which I gather is 2/3rds of the studio models. I read sometime ago that the studio molds were saved when Fox was demo'ing their storage facilities. Was your model perhaps cast from those molds? As for the comments on the...
I would like to know what prevented the Icons Jupiter 2 model from being released? I had a pre-order for one and saw the prototype in pictures. BTW, I did scarf up other Icons merchandise from ex-employees back in the day. A BSG Viper and a SST Roger Young was some of the items I bid and won on...
Communication with the future"........... Leave them message where someone could find it 85,000,000 years in the future. Just like doc brown did in BTTF2. So they are in the same timeline.......
Re: So I've been offered an old movie theatre built in the late 30s
If you do buy................sounds like you could document (film) the process of rebuilding and get HGTV or other channel to do a show about your experiences!
