Thank you for replying. I did notice that and have made my models of the tentacles to reflect that. I have printed out the medium segment red sucker and used hex screws for the two small bumps, made a mold and started doing casting tests to try and replicate the way it looks in the movie.

I would recommend starting with doing some pepakura props. Maybe find a helmet design you like and print out the design on some 200gsm paper. It is the easiest way I can think of starting and the only things you really need are time and patience.
