Ok, so it sounds like I can use polyurethane to seal the wood. Then paste wax, then a really good mold release spray and it should be ok?

You are right Duncanator! It's the first fragment to the Key To Time from Tom Baker's era.

I made a mold from wood. It's aprox 6" x 6". I have never used resin. I just finished the mold and plan on coating it with polyurethane in the mold tonight. Then my next step it to either throw some epoxy resin in and and see how it turns out OR use clay or something to make the item, then use...

I still can't find them plans for the body.

I recently joined Astromech.com to find the plans, but can't find any on there. I need pdf plans for the body and legs of R2D2. I only need the measurements and I can go from there, I don't really need templates. Please give me a link if you have one availalbe. Thank you.

I made a Mel pistol out of wood. I cut it with a jigsaw. It is one solid piece of premium pine, except for the wood piece under the handle. I glued luan plywood the sides to give it somethickness. The metal pieces on the sides are nails. The metal parts on the ends are from aluminum brackets...
