How to plastic coat foam costume pieces

I've started the fibreglass route but I'm thinking of jumping ships myself. Quick question (I hope), how flexible is this once set? I'm thinking of making a neck seal from foam and was going to cut a split in the back so I can wear it. Would it be flexible enough to let me do this? Cheers.

Help with Chris Redfield Resident Evil 5 Costume

You could try an airsoft supplier. A few years ago you could buy rubber or plastic bayonets for re-enactment. I've not played since the VCR bill so can't help with specific stores.

    1:1 Ironman MARK 1

That's a whole load of awsomeness standing there. As Roblightyeah said, seeing the MK1 here kinda makes it more interesting than the ones that follow.

Iron Man Mk III build (UK) Eyes, Voice control and paint on helmet

Re: Iron Man Mk III pep build (UK) Awesome work, I hope mine comes out half as good. Got a little tip which might help with the gaps. Get one side (lets say the faceplate) smoothed and finished how you want it. Stick some brown parcel tape neatly over the good edges and apply filler to the...

(Yet another) Iron Man build (UK)

It's certainly a new learning experience for me. I never thought I'd be doing "research" into glueing foam, or coating paper with resin. All good fun though and it keeps me relatively out of trouble. Made some progress, need to take some more pic's but the back has ben pep'd and fibreglassed...

    Iron Man Mark VI (foam)

Great build. These foam builds are looking so good I'm thinking I've made a mistake using fibreglass. Maybe next time!

(Yet another) Iron Man build (UK)

So that was what went wrong, but what went right? I started a third helmet, this time using the Sharkbeetle Dunghead pep files. My reasoning being I could put the details in later using my trusty dremel and plasti-card. This went much better, and instead of making it in separate parts I...

(Yet another) Iron Man build (UK)

Hi, been a bit of a lurker, absorbing information and ogling at the many excellent builds on here. Thought I'd made enough progress to share what I've done so far. I came to the forum after looking at making a Boba Fett helmet, but tbh, Irom Man is more interesting to me. My first ever...
