I have been working on getting the basic shape of the head modeled. Much more work to do on this part but its getting late.. Quick shot, i will get more views when its closer to being finished: It will be mirrored once i'm done with the one side.

The widest part of the head will be about 5". by 5" long.

I'm starting by modeling the head in SolidWorks. Took some time tonight to get a bunch of great screen caps from the movie. Good one of the head i will be using as reference:

This AMEE will be a one off so.... Some parts will be modeled in SolidWorks than sent off to be 3d printed. Others will be drawn in AutoCad than laser cut. The rest will be old fashioned model building techniques. Started some reference photo scaling tonight:
