Sabine Wren Cosplay (Star Wars Rebels)

Sabine's is the Nite/Night Owl helmet, isn't it? I know various people have done builds (e.g. thorssoli's, zihyer's) and casts, but I haven't seen a template or pep model around. Does anyone know if there is one available somewhere? (Also interested in building.) --EDIT *looks again, realises...

What glue is best for eva foam armor

If you're in the US, Barge Cement is the generally recommended go-to for foam (other contact cement would also work in a pinch). In the UK / Europe, Alpha Thixofix is a good alternative. HTH :)

    a sticky question

I've been circling this question for a while too, as we can't get Barge over here, and recently heard a strong recommendation for Alpha Thixofix (via Punished Props & ArtyFakes). Haven't tried it myself yet but I trust the recommendation. (I've been out of the UK LARP scene for a while now, but...

    Bane Muscle Chest

Looks a lot like the Giant suit from Flex Design, though without the neck area. Possibly some other manufacturer's version of the same thing? http://www.flexdesigncostumes.com/giant-muscle-suit.html

Does anyone have Han in carbonite in 3D model? STL or otherwise?

I know there's a couple on Thingiverse, not sure of the detail but they should be OK as a start point... just a sec. Here's a link.

Looking for high-detail Mass Effect 3D models

Hi all, I'm getting myself a li'l CNC machine and want to try it out on carving some prop weapon bases (see e.g. thorssoli's process here). I'd like to do some Mass Effect weapons (Carnifex, Valkyrie, Avenger) but need a decent 3D model to test from. I've found plenty of pep files, game rips...

    Patterns? (shoulder armor)

What search terms are you using? A search for "foam armor shoulder pattern" brought back a number of likely-looking results - are you looking for something specific? Substituting "pauldron" for "shoulder" may also work. Alternatively, KamuiCosplay has a couple of $5 ebooks with generic...

Anyone making a "Ghost" from Destiny?

Not really following Destiny stuff so there are probably others, but I know of this one by Ammnra Creations: http://youtu.be/NsnSPO98mLc

    Avengers 2 Hulkbuster

OK, show of hands... How many people watched the trailer and immediately started planning their Halloween 2015 build? :lol

    Help on Foam Armorsmithing download

Yes, the store didn't send me a link either. Just use the Contact Us form on the site (there's a 'problem with my order' option in the dropdown). Bill got back to me the same day and fixed the problem, no trouble.

    hardening foam

James Bruton at XRobots.co.uk put up a couple of experiments in coating foam with PVA (to seal it) and casting resin (to harden it) a while back. There's a video too.

Iron Man Helmet concave back problem

As well as the thickness of the foam, which makes the space inside the helmet much smaller than it would normally be, your main problem is that your edges are all cut at 90 degrees so the pieces don't fit together properly. I'm not sure which set of templates you're working from as I don't...

My new appreciation for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

Nah, it's definitely "bucket". I was pretty sure the word before ended in "-lunge", and "plunge bucket" (like on a well) seemed to make most sense, but after listening again with headphones this time I'm inclined to agree with the "munge bucket" that most of the google hits suggested. Just...

My new appreciation for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

Or the Penguins with "Hoover Dam!" and "Shiitake mushrooms!" Sadly, what Astrid actually shouts is, "No! You son of a half-troll, rat-eating [something] bucket!" Not sure what that [something] is as there's a swooshing sound effect over it, but it sounds most like "plunge" to me. Sorry! :p

Ladies can be Iron Man too (everything but the shoulders, pg 35)

Side note: boobplate (i.e. a chest plate with prominent, sculpted breasts) is basically a terrible idea from an armour standpoint. Where a standard convex breastplate either spreads the force across the plate or causes the blow to glance aside, boobplate essentially concentrates the entire force...
