Just got into sewing, so far made boot spatz and forearm parts for my Avengers Captain America. Will eventually have a go at a full costume. Building up my confidence and skill on smaller parts first.

Stealth made a great tutorial on this on you tube, look that up, if your suit is foam, his tutorial is what i did, and worked great.

I am thinking of going this same rout for a shield for my costume. did the strap brackets give the shield any stability?

Yep. Not exact, but heavily inspired by the Marvel Now armor.

Finished my upper body, now on to my Wife's Rescue for the same, then I'll move on to the legs/ feet.
