I was too late to the party for the putty colored fabric but I got 3 yards of the white. Would anyone who got the putty be willing to send me a scrap so I can dye to the correct color? I'd be willing to pay, of course.
You could always work on parts that aren't that dependent on body type (mask, chest emblem, cape) while you're getting in shape. Tracking down materials, techniques and whatnot takes time as well so there's plenty to do in the meantime.

I think you're on the right track with the raised S. Details like that really make a costume pop. I'd probably do the belt parts that way as well for a consistent look. Good luck with your build, it sounds like you're off to a great start!
Another lady costumer here! I sew costumes, make accessories and props and attempt to style/build wigs. I've been at it for about 14 years now. I've gotten away from costuming a little bit since buying a run down house 4 years ago but I'm trying to ease back into it.
Anyone know if the grommets in her corset were black or silver? I took some screenshots but it's hard to tell. In the second photo they look silver to me but the grommets and lace hooks in her boots look black. Thought they'd match.
What do you guys think about this whip? It looks pretty close to me but I know nothing about whips. This particular one is 8ft. It lacks the ring around the top of the handle as seen on the Western Stage Props whip but I could probably add that part on. The WSP whip also looks to have a stiff...

Does anyone know how good this Catwoman cowl is on Amazon? It looks nice in the photo but I was hoping someone had firsthand experience they could share.
