Just finished a small batch of these hilts. I've gotten a LOT of requests for these, but the labor involved is pretty extensive so I resisted taking the plunge until now. It's taken about 10 weeks to make just about 10 of each one. I actually made enough components to built more than 20 of each...

Well, it depends on interest. Right now there are six "interested" folks. We need at least ten, or it won't happen.

Quick test print in black. The previous run was printed via SLA and then sanded for an eternity before metallization. This test is in FDM. Unfortunately it’s just not quite detailed enough, but it’s still fun to look at in this color.

It would be the same process, which is basically identical to how the original props were made.

You're not crazy. And not only are they rectangular, but the knurling is not symmetrical either. Meaning, one side slopes down more quickly than the other, and the square "plateau" is not directly above the base, but offset due to those angles You can almost see this in the photo you referenced...
