    RoboCop GQ Model - WIP

Just a heads up, peeps, I've picked this project back up! Those final missing surface details are being put in, a handful of parts have been altered to reflect details only recently realized, and the poly count is going through the roof as I smooth everything out for 3D printing. I planned on...

Jes Gistang inspired female stormtrooper armour

Well, I've got two projects I'm powering through at the moment, hopefully the helmet will be done when I've got the time/space to tackle this in a month or so. I'd never been tempted to do a stormtrooper before I saw this, but your work has made me do a complete 180 :)

    Sandbagger's Iron-Man builds - Now in STEEL

IIRC, the technique uses a specialized sand (blended with clay or other materials) that can be formed into shapes and withstand the heat of molten metal for use as a mold. In this case, sandbagger is using foam to sculpt his armor parts, then burying them in the sand... the molten aluminum burns...

Good to hear! Do you have a rough ETA on the helmet? I'd love to see the whole set completed

What are the odds of getting this to fit someone about 5'4" and 100 pounds?

    ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

There gets to be a point where your pre-order ceases to be "saving your place in line" and becomes a straight up business loan. IIRC, the Han belt was "packed and ready to ship" back in May. That's seven months that a "finished" product has been sitting there! If they're finished as they said...

Anyone planning on picking up the Target Helmets and "improving" on them?

I saw that too, which really would be a shame, but my receipt did ring up as "Seasonal" so it's not terribly surprising even if disappointing. This is the best mass-market Fett helmet in 20 years, so even with the innacuracies it's nice to have one that I won't be terrified of wearing out with...

    RoboCop GQ Model - WIP

Oh wow, I hadn't realized anyone had responded to this! Thank you, all! I haven't had anything printed yet; it was a tight summer and I'm currently saving up for an unexpected cross country move right now. I don't want to do this halfway, this is my favorite film costume ever, and I want to do...

Anyone planning on picking up the Target Helmets and "improving" on them?

Thanks to you folks, I rode four buses for five hours, but managed to snag the last Fett in town. This is my first Fett helmet, and I never imagined it would be so large. I'm kind of amazed that this thing is $30, they could have charged so much more for it and still sold out all their stock...

    TRANSPARENT el sheets or panel???

I'm not sure what the OP is asking about... EL sheet that is transparent when turned off? EL sheet that can be seen through from the backside when turned on?

WIP: Foam Hulkbuster for my 7yr old - Lots of Con Pics!

Re: WIP: Foam Hulkbuster for my 7yr old - Chest/Back Progress You could attach four nylon straps (one at each end point of the shoulder pads) that end in a loop at his waist. The upper body could be held in place by a belt running though those straps, and through the belt loops on his pants...

    The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread

I skimped on the anti-aliasing to save render time, you need to see it in full-res to make out the knurling. But I assure you it's there! :P

    The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread

I think the best bet at the moment, in lieu of silkscreening thousands of tiny gloss bricks onto fabric, is to look for something with a tight but visible weave. I've been looking around for an interim solution (I'd hoped to find a basketweave in alternating matte/gloss merlot) but haven't had...
