You might want to try contacting member 829japan. He's the one who bought a case or two of them for us here. He's in Japan and may be able to point your brother in the right direction.
Just about every replica Mauser is going to have a different thickness to the frame. The grill I helped test is made specifically to fit the AW, snapping into place like stock.
NO!!!!
I tried that for my first set of grips and while they came out, they were not shiny like we need them. In the video I posted showing that process in the other thread, it used corn starch to make the mold. This did not leave a smooth shiny mold. The grips were very dull.
Invest in actual...
Just what I posted here. I watched a lot of YouTube videos to learn how. Highly recommended to do. Proper materials and preparation are key. I couldn't tell you how many times I read the directions on the mold and resin kits before starting.
Soulinertia is selling grips or will be soon.
Thanks for the mention, but there are better builds than mine out there. Looking forward to your building. Sounds like you have a solid plan worked out. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
I don't think anything specific to the AW. You could probably replace the scope. Adding the groove in the dial makes a big difference in its apparent height.
Finally got some primer on this! Starting to look like a proper blaster than a squirt gun. The magazine fits great, no need for magnets or anything. Waiting on my 3 and 5mm LEDs.
