The Curious Case of the Maltese Falcon

I would have thought that, by now, someone would have done some careful research of photos of the one's in question with high resolution images from the film. It's an interesting tale, for sure! Interesting tail? If Warner really does have a plaster casting (unpainted) in storage, that would be...

Dark Knight and Joker bag set (cornhole)

My 12 year old daughter and I have been painting some bag sets. She's doing really well with silhouettes and seems to enjoy painting with dad. These were based on some existing silhouette art we found online..but I added eyes to the joker and lots of other changes to spice it up. Batman's head...

    Captain America Bag set (cornhole)

My daughter and I have been painting some superhero bag sets. She's 12 and has been getting really good with the silhouettes! These were partially based on some existing art we found online (cap especially). The splatter background was a blast to do!

Star Wars gift for new mother it is.

There's something about personal gifts like this that I really enjoy creating. Knowing it's not available in stores just makes it that much more fun.

    Star Trek Crew Quarters

I like the gaffer's tape on the top edge of the beveled mirror....you can see where the tape overlaps edges. Must have been reflecting lights or the ceiling of the stage...cool.

Another Case of the Clap....trap (New Pics 3/1)

Re: Another Case of the Clap....trap I'm just about done. I still have a couple panels to put on that go above the arms, and a "borderlands" logo that will go on the mounting board. I did make a choice that some folks might not care for- From the beginning, I really enjoyed the artwork in...

Another Case of the Clap....trap (New Pics 3/1)

Re: Another Case of the Clap....trap Worked some today...between shoveling snow and taking care of my daughter who was out of school for a snow day: The eye lights up...as it's one of those closet "push lights"....the blue? Well...it's actually a blue latex glove, stretched and glued to the...

    TOS Comm build

Nice job, Phez...and that phaser sample is still a stunner, John. Here's a strange question. Has the velcro changed much since the late 60's?

Another Case of the Clap....trap (New Pics 3/1)

Re: Another Case of the Clap....trap I have a lot of learning to do before I'd ever make a kit of anything. I've seen plenty of people on here get in deep and then get stuck. I see people invest other people's money, then have a hiccup and BOOM. No kit, angry members and a ruined reputation...

Another Case of the Clap....trap (New Pics 3/1)

Re: Another Case of the Clap....trap Yeah. Frankencade. I built him several years ago. I had my 12 minutes of internet fame back then around Halloween. Mostly people complaining that I used the x-arcade instead of doing my own electronics for the buttons/joysticks. At the time I thought I...

Another Case of the Clap....trap (New Pics 3/1)

Re: Another Case of the Clap....trap JD, that's totally correct. Once I know it's carved alright, I can then carve in a totally different material. I'd prefer a sheet of HDU...at 2" thick, it's about $200 - 300 depending on density. Some nights I dream of having a stack of HDU 10 feet high.
