Looking to do a Grand Admiral Thrawn cosplay - Advice needed

Hey folks. I looked through the forums a bit and failed to find the answers I'm looking for. I want to do a Grand Admiral Thrawn cosplay, and am looking to have the uniform made. Anovos doesn't make the officer uniform in white, and others online look ill-fitting. Does anyone have a suggestion...

Help with a preschool aged Darth Vader costume!

I have an insane amount on my plate between now and July, and I just don't have enough room for another project, not even a relatively small one. Is there really no place to purchase a reasonably well done children's Vader Helmet?

Help with a preschool aged Darth Vader costume!

Hello again, folks! So, we're about 3 months out from our major local convention, or as we describe it to our four year old, "Super hero party" and we've given her the option to choose anyone she wants to dress up as. She picked her very favorite person in the world. Darth Vader. So we're...

Costumes for the new Star Wars: Rogue One standalone film

They do have a very Hoth feel to me. I think there will be a lot of cosplay potential in the upcoming films.

Costumes for the new Star Wars: Rogue One standalone film

We're starting to see information for the new Star Wars film, and I'd like to see sneak peeks and costume information in a central location. Disney released a sneak peek "Meet the new characters" sort of tweet here below, back in august: But, photos were released of a Rogue One exhibit today...

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

Hey otter! I'm glad you like the result. I'm very proud of how it all came together, and I think it holds to the original spirit very well, while introducing actual, historically plausible and combat functional elements that were missing in the original. I'm pleased to announce that I am...

So, no RPF love for the new pilot, Poe Dameron?

I may have tracked down the belt. Even if it doesn't work as is, it's a better base for getting a good grey. The green is way too dark, and sand is way too light, and brown. This "Light Olive" looks perfect to me. Here's the belt I've found...

Two Dragon Age: Inquisition builds (Blackwall and Scout Harding)

Hey folks! After my successful Brynden Blackfish build, I approach the next project with a full 11 months to work on. My wife and I are doing a costume together, with a few other friends, and we will be joining a competition. So I'm pouring my heart and soul into this one. So I will be doing...

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

My favorite picture from the convention! I had a lot of people petting me.

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

Here's the final product. I have some tweaks I'm going to do. Mostly with the chainmaille. Also, the thing is impossible to sit in, with the mantle on, and I have to hold my breath to raise my arm high enough to take a drink. Clearly this armor was not designed for combat.

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

Oh, and I'm skipping the sword belt. No need to bring a sword to a convention. I don't have time to get a good one with my budget, and ditto belt.

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

Thanks for the tips. I have the gloves, chainmaille, and I am using a gambeson in place of the leather he has going to his knees. I actually have all of the pieces. Some of them still need some work. Buckles to close the armor, lighten the fabric, and paint the sigil. But holy crap, it's happening

Game of Thrones - Brynden "Blackfish" Tully build

Final update tonight. The epoxy cast worked. It's still a bit soft, and I'm hoping that sorts out overnight, but it is beautiful. No bubbles in the face, very few in the cast itself (not that I actually care, it's getting spray paint). God, it turned out so well. It turned out about as well as...
