I’m the kind of person who’s always trying to improve stuff. (Including myself.) Just can’t help it.
Assembled my first computer in 1979, a HeathKit. Been building, tweaking & repairing ever since. About the same time, I rebuilt the engine of my old bug, single-handedly. It actually worked afterward! I paid someone to remove & reinstall it. He said it was the first rebuilt engine he ever installed for someone that actually started right up. (I’m talented!)
Now retired and living alone, happily, after divorcing my ex 20+ years ago. It turns out she was a major trigger of my anxiety and depression. Not being a “people person”, I didn’t have a clue. Oh well.
One of my favorite quotes is, “I’m smart enough not to go around telling people how smart I am.” It’s not attributed to anyone; it’s just something I read once.
