Somewhere on these forums, I read that a special resin needs to be used if it is to be gold-plated because ordinary resin's degassing would eventually cause bubbling in the plating. Any truth to this? :confused

Moebius supplied instructions with the metal J2 that explains this. Perhaps you overlooked the paperwork in your box?

Anyone know if the lights would function ok with the battery removed and using the outlet power only? I'm too timid to check this out.
