Anyone planning on picking up the Target Helmets and "improving" on them?

Well, not sure what to make of this... If you follow the link to the Amazon page it lists the Rubie's product #as 32268 and it says the dimensions are 10"x10"x10". The product number of the Taget helmet is different, but a cursory Google search didn't turn up any dimensions, so... I'm not...

    Kylo Ren Helmet Build Questions

*As a side note, I knew a guy who built a Republic Commando bucket by arranging the Pepakura flaps on the outside of the paper model. Once finished, he brushed layers of melted plastilina (any oil based clay will do) into the interior for strength, until be had approx an inch of thickness. He...

Kylo Ren Black Series Helmet Mod

As happy as I was that the Rubie's fit my giant ham-head, after viewing the movie, I can see how much more accurately sized the BS is. *sigh... Going to have to save my duckets and pick one up after all. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

This is a very nice conversion. I've been on the lookout for the black series helmet myself, but haven't found any yet. Solid inspirational work. Cheers! Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

That's a pretty good surface. I had thought to try one of the fine "stone" texture sprays, but that looks nice. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

    JFcustom's FOAM files

Pretty much... You can strengthen the foam by gluing fabric (strips cut from an old t-shirt work fine) to the underside so that it doesn't disintegrate with repeated wear and tear. This will also help with the sweat. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

Also, you can pick up a cheap wood burning tool (repackaged soldering iron) that comes with interchangeable tips for different shapes and thicknesses. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

Not to hijack the thread by any means, but definitely err on the side of caution when it comes to fumes. A quick trip to the Home Depot and $15-$20 will get you a 3M Organic Vapor respirator mask. A necessary tool when burning foam and/or mixing Bondo (or MEKP and polyester resin for...
