RED ALERT Lost 3 ft TOS Enterprise found????

And here's an orthographic overhead of both roughly scaled and lined up... The total opposite angles of the photos makes it tough, but... Here's my best attempt That 100% looks like the same wood grain to me.

RED ALERT Lost 3 ft TOS Enterprise found????

So I was tempted to use some 3D software to look at the woodgrain on the bases. I mapped the cameras using Fspy, and then did some camera projection to project the photos onto rough geometry approximating the wooden base. That lets us look at the wood grain in the two photos from the same angle...

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

Yeah, the plans I built from are actually for an RC version. I didn't trust my ship building skills to make it watertight, so opted for static. Thanks for the kind words :)

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

Yeah, I saw that years ago. I don't think anything came of it, unfortunately, hence, making one from scratch. I feel like a kit would sell well, so I am sure there is some license issue. Beyond that, there is just SO MUCH STUFF to make for it, perhaps making a good kit is simply...

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

Hey man! Thank you! I do the build logs as a way of keeping myself in check. I know I'm gonna have show every stupid decision to people at the end, so it kind of holds me to account from taking any REALLY gross shortcuts. Gotta seem at least a little like I know what I'm doing ;) As for the...

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

Thank you kindly. Sorry for late reply. Laid up with serious back issues. Curse of the modeller from being hunched over the work table all the time. I might see if I can draw up some plan modifications, but I don't know that I kept good enough records. I did a lot of it live, on the day, eye...

I love the interiors of models so much... Was definitely the most fun (and most time consuming)

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

lol, thanks so much. I was hesitant to bloody up the stern of the ship, but it's so important to Jaws... I still might add a tiny bottle old spice and a rag.

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

Thanks so much. I was torn on sharing mid-build in case I never finished it. It was close for a while...

    The Orca - Jaws - 1:15 scale

I had to double check the lights so many times! Was terrified to get em backwards. Can I check out some of your stuff? I’d love to see more how to ACTUALLY make a proper wooden boat. I feel like I just brute forced everything until it looked right. This is honestly my first scratch built model...
