    Witcher 3 Dandelion help

Hello All! I'm currently invested in making a Dandelion and Priscilla cosplay for my partner and I from the Witcher 3. im finding Priscilla's costume easy, but sourcing the patterned fabric for Dandelion's doublet is proving a nightmare, so I thought- time to turn to the good folk of the RPF...

The 3D Prints So, the 3D prints I ordered arrived yesterday- yay! I was so excited I made my boyfriend bring them to the pub for me after work... I couldn't wait. The Results What can I say... The results surpassed all expectations! Straight out of the box there was still a little dampness...

    Tali'Zorah Build *Pic Heavy*

Thank you STLAssassin! Luckily fabric/sewing is the easy part for me (although not my favourite!), so I'll make sure to post step-by-steps VioletSun- that's awesome that you're going to MCM May! I'll definitely be there (I work just about every con in the UK) and if Tali's finished I'm hoping...

    Tali'Zorah Build *Pic Heavy*

Construction III- Parts now sent off to print, I could concentrate on some good old, hands dirty crafting. I decided to start with all of the non-fabric aspects of the project first, mainly because they're the bits I find most rewarding. I began work on the neck pieces. Here are the references...

    Tali'Zorah Build *Pic Heavy*

Hello again. Almost a year and a half later, I'm back with an update. The last year of university took its toll on me, so I haven't been able to craft in a long time... but I've graduated now, on a gap year, and able to jump back into the game head first! Over the last couple of weeks I've...

    Ana Amari (Shrike)

Do you know what process you're going to use to craft the helmet? As in, straight up clay sculpture, working from a pep base etc? A motorcycle visor would work well, but if you want a little more flexibility in the visor shape I'd advise using vacuum formed PET, or clear worbla moulded over a buck.

    Steampunk Mega Man!

How much Smooth Cast for helmet

Sweet, thanks so much for the advice guys. Two trial kits it is then I think! I'll make a proper post for the project once I've pulled (hopefully) the completed helmet. So, talc, 2 trial kits, and a bit of luck... fingers crossed.

How much Smooth Cast for helmet

Oh man, I wish it were that cheap here, the only places I can find selling it are over £100 a gallon (like 120 dollars :/). Here: http://www.benam.co.uk/products/plastic/smooth-cast-semi-rigid/ It doesn't look like mouldlife are selling any Smooth On anymore. Just something called...

How much Smooth Cast for helmet

I was only drawn towards the 300 after reading previous posts on here saying they slightly preferred it to the 65d, but the 65d does seem to make more sense as that's what it what developed for. I do intend to wear it, I have a deadline of end of May so I have a bit of time, but I'd like to...

How much Smooth Cast for helmet

Sorry guys, bumping because I'm sure somebody has experience with this or knows the answer? I don't want to go dropping £120 if £40 (2 testers) of the stuff will do the job

How much Smooth Cast for helmet

Hello all, I'm finally at the stage of casting my Tali (from mass effect) helmet in a 2 part silicone mould. I'm hoping to slush cast it using Smooth Cast 300. My question is, are 1 or 2 of the tester kits enough to pull a helmet? The gallon seems just too much for what I'm wanting to...

    Tali'Zorah Build *Pic Heavy*

Hello RPFers! As many that have come before me, I am a long-time lurker, first-time poster. I recently decided to undertake a project I've been wanting to tackle for a while now: Tali'Zorah from Mass Effect. I'm a stickler for detail, and seeing as I'm around the same height/build as the...
