    Spider-man mask out of a red t-shirt?

Here's an idea. Get a4 sticker paper and print the pattern. Stick it on cloth and cut out the large pieces. remove the paper (hopefully won't stick too much) and sew the pieces together. Tadaa!

Iron Man mask out of shiny filted tablecloth.

Okay, I got the cloth from Holland, all folded up in a4 size chunks, thankfully. I cut the a4 pieces out. Then I got some sticker type a4 photo paper and printed out the sharkmark VI Iron man mask. Removed the non sticky side and then pasted the print out on the back of the shiny felt...

Iron Man mask out of shiny filted tablecloth.

Hey guys. Just trying something new here. Mum gave me her shiny golden tablecloth after our new year dinner. Let me guide you through the steps I did to make a flexible and cool looking mask out of this material.

Iron Man Mask out of sheet metal.

Continued with my paper one. Fibred, puttied and ready to be grinded. I have a ton of car shops around the corner. They can help me paint the mask when it is finished. Maybe making a mold first... Updates soon!

If it didn't work, take a closer look at the print preview page. Otherwise, cut the paper at the seam and paste it onto a slice of paper aligned correctly. ... If it is a big problem, send the file to my email address and I will see if it comes out wrong at my end too. martin_huizing@hotmail.com

dabiddabird (Dabid), It could be your print head is misaligned. You can run the printer optimization software and select print head align. You can also try to print in 'high quality mode'. In my office I also have misaligned printouts unless I select HQ mode. Good luck!

Iron Man Mask out of sheet metal.

As I didn't record it on video, I can't show you ;) (project is finished and in the can) I used metalic tape, normally used for air-vents sealing. It's like very thin metal paper and doesn't hold-up well against the sharp edges. Pics look better than the actual mask.:cry I've started on my 3rd...

Iron Man Mask out of sheet metal.

Okay, good news and bad news. Are you guys (and gals, I'm sure you are out there:)) ready for the good news? Well, I've learned a lot about modeling. No, I didn't get naked and have my pics taken in my underwear, even though I am rippingly hot! The plus side is that I can see 3d more clearly in...

Iron Man Mask out of sheet metal.

I am also keen to see where I am going with this, hehehe. One cool thing is that I can lay down pieces of print-out together on the sheet metal so it will make a bigger piece. No need to print out the long thin paper pieces as I am adding it to the main body and bend it afterwards (mostly 90...

Iron Man Mask out of sheet metal.

You are right, of course. Actually making it out of steel is easier than paper. It just takes a little bit more imagination. I will, of course keep the original in its metal form for show. Maybe even make another one ;)
