    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Thanks! I would definitely like to do one with a better gloss coat next time. Yeaaaah. That's sitting at me demanding to be finished, not sure I can face the sanding! I do need to finish that sucker this year - need to get some decent science tricorder electronics to go with it. I'm hoping...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Finally finished up the small detail parts for the kit, such as a small scale PADD to fit inside, had the vials filled with resin, etc, so I made a small backdrop set to take some finished photos of the prop! The set was made from beige PVC board dressed with vinyl tapelines, with smoked acrylic...

Full Scale TARDIS doors for my Shop

Which series TARDIS are you going for? I designed the signs on the S9/10 ones so can probably give you some graphic pointers...

Interest Star Trek The Next Generation - 'Hotel Royale' Novel

I'm interested in an Option 2, please. This is a really phenomenal work, and such a fun item.

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Slow progress at my end - again - been busy on a few shows back to back and I also made a bit of a significant purchase which has been keeping me busy. However, one new addition came my way in a completely serendipitous manner - I was walking across the studio and saw the previous episode...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Nothing with spaceships, sadly. Got the final parts ordered this week - the vial rack! Not the neatest job but for once it didn't have to be. 3 magnets are epoxied and these keep the vials locked in their racks. I added more trim tape (well.. cut vinyl) to the door as I thought it was a bit...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Hey Jamie, thanks! The paints are just Humbrol cans; 64 for the base, and 27 for the panels. There's a misting of the metallic silver (can't remember the number) and then a thick satin clearcloat. Thanks for the coments! They'll be free to download when I'm done - hopefully not too much...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Back on a show now, so, work time is limited... with the last parts to add to the Medkit - the hypo vial rack - that means I can finally 'publish' the plans + instructions for the kit, so, working on those. The instruction style should be familiar to all good TNG geeks...

That's the Tricorder, in all it's absurdity, done! Started the first assembly on the Engineering kit: Time to get back to filling and sanding! *cries*

Thanks guys! Got the laser cut parts for the stimulators: These were a really fun, quick build. I used dummy LEDs as I have no electronics skills... These slot nicely into the plug-in. I've added a magnet to the base unit so now it locks into the Stapleton medical Tricorder.

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Assembling this was kinda stressful - after ruining V1 I didn't want to wreck this one, but I tend to rush when I have a list ahead of me. All panels, electronics, and clearcoat applied, and then vinyl decals over the top of it: The compartment has a dummy green LED, a flashing...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

I always thought Rick Sternbach & Mike Okuda worked really well within the limitations of the show/budget - Rick's sense of shapes/panelling was always pretty smart, lots of layering on top of open spaces, and Mike's labelling / trim tapes etc are quite bold but suggest a function. That...

    Star Trek: TNG Medkit

Slow progress as work hours are just insane; we also just bought a house that needs a lot of work but on the upside, I have a workspace! Finished off the upper section of the Transifigurations add on - still need to do the magnet + labelling for the scanner pouch section. I also started...

    Anovos Ghostbusters Proton Pack Kit

Why is it so soft/warped looking? The originals were quite warped, so I can understand that, but these look really really soft.
