    Black on black can be tricky to paint, but you can use several shades of charcoal gray, and shade with straight black. You can also mix a color into the black to change the value a bit. For instance, mixing a bit of red into black will give it a warmer tone, say for a uniform, and for leather...

    You might have more luck with a urethane rubber to cast plaster in. I used it years ago and it had no ill effect on the plaster castings

    I saw that too at my local Ollie’s , they also have the Bandai GIJoe Snakeyes kit too for the same price. They’ve been getting in new Star Wars toys every week so it’s a good idea to check there often
