Boy it's been awhile. Not only on this project but also since I've been here. This was put on the back burner until I happened to randomly stumble on a liner at a pawn shop. Got it for a killer deal so now I'm motivated again to continue.
Yeah it took my mom some years ago.
I loved mail call. It may have been the start of my interest in firearms. I remember he used .45 rounds as ear plugs.
I took the plunge with the bucket and cut into her. I lost the original strap hinge bit. I made my own and I think it will work better. Same idea but this one has more surface area so better seal? Just did a ghetto solder weld. It will be covered so no biggie.
I was just yesterday getting ready to order the other one. I will probably give this one a go since I threw away the orange tip. It was days before I found out the use for it on here. Now I won't have to come up with a fix for the barrel length.
I got extremely lucky with my order. I was going to order through amazon.jp and even set up an account with one of those hub locations in Japan that would receive it and ship it to the states. I checked one more site that had it in and bought it right then.
Now my wife makes fun of me for...
Thanks for the tip. I don't actually have a liner and don't plan on trooping so I'm doing something different with the padding. I'm pretty much making my own stylized padding the way a real world helmet would be. Kinda like Storm Trooper Buckets have been done. Anyway I finished the mic boom...
