Thanks! Actually I think my next project is going to be a dead space pulse rifle... never actually built anything from scratch (modified a bunch of stuff, but I've been inspired by a lot of stuff I've seen here).

GOW Lancer MOD with arduino and waveshield... Updated with lighted base Just wanted to share the laser cut stand I made for my Lancer, I had my friend cut all the parts. The LED's actually are a lot more redish in color... not pink like in the pictures, need to get a better...

More updates... Got the rear cover dremeled and speaker grate installed. Finished both sides. Also, I didn't really just want a black plastic switch hanging out for the fire select, so I took a cast of one of the gun screws and attached it to the switch. Also got the chainsaw button...

Updates... Wiring, I have to clean this mess up... Got the charge port/kill switch wired up as well. I don't have the plug end installed on the knob yet, but once I do it'll act as a kill switch (just like like with some of the sabers out there). Sorry about the picture...

Yeah... about that :) it's not for the faint of heart, if your molds aren't up to snuff or you get pressure in the wrong angle with your rubber bands, plastic tends to go where you don't want it... neither one of the sides turned out 100%... but luckily it's not too noticeable. I've found the only thing I've ever needed to vacuum was clear plastics, mostly small stuff. That being said harbor freight has a nice little pressure tank for 80 bucks that works great... you have to rework the valves and whatnot but the way I set mine up I can either vacuum or pressure cast...
