    Moebius - The Incal Props

So I've started reading The Incal by Jodrowsky with the art my Moebius... And as you can expect, it's blowing my mind! From all the incredible art I can't help but notice the space weapons, so I wanted to know if anyone had tried to make any of the props? The space guns or any of the clothing...

    Original Ray Gun

Both of these look great! I really want to get a Dr Grordbort original and do a new paint job on it. The original looks awesome too; all I do now whenever I see something I think "would that look cool on a Ray gun?" and the answer is usually yes haha! Great work! Can't wait to see more. Sent...

    Original Ray Gun

So here's a first test piece of the Ray gun screwdriver just using some balsa wood and blu tack; just to test how my hand will fit and where I'll need to place any buttons/triggers. I think it's going to look pretty good once I work out what I'm going to do at the business end. Sent from my...

    Original Ray Gun

Good point. Might be best going for a weathered metal finish. Maybe even try adding heat discourloring, I know there are some great tutorials around; I haven't tried it yet thought my airbrush skills aren't quite up to scratch! Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    Original Ray Gun

It looks great! I think the clear part looks cool, what I'm doing for my next Ray Gun is to have a clear section but place a part behind it painted brass colour to look like the inner workings... I thought about light too but not quite there yet! Looking forward to seeing yours finished though...

    Original Ray Gun

So here's the pics of the piece of brass I'm using as the base, I don't have a metal lathe at home so for the most part it has to stay how it is; plus its super heavy and should feel really nice when it's done. I've also got the car bulbs to use in place of radio tubes, and just a metal cone...

    Original Ray Gun

For the glass/ radio tube parts I found a set of car bulbs of varying shapes and sizes, a couple of which would be perfect size for this. I'll post a pic of them when I can. I'll post a pic of the the brass part that I will use as a base too so that people can suggest their own designs if they...

    Original Ray Gun

Got a couple of new sketches for the Ray knife/screwdriver/device type thing... I think I prefer it. If you're wondering why both have the same basic shape it's because I'm starting off with a machined piece of brass that I had after some training; I thought the weight and brass colour would...

    Original Ray Gun

Hey that's cool, any feedback is good in my book. The coil out the back and the blue was to try and go for more of a cartoon Ray gun vibe, which I know isn't for everyone; for my next attempt I'm going for a more realistic feel. Thanks for the comments! Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    Original Ray Gun

Looks awesome! I didnt realise there'd be others as obsessed as I am about Ray Guns! Can't wait to see what else people have come up with Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    Original Ray Gun

Wow they look awesome! Can I ask what you are using for the round disks? Or they large washers? Or did you machine them yourself? I've been struggling to find the ideal prices to use; the best so far have been the stackable plastic wine glasses, but they aren't very strong Sent from my CLT-L09...

    Original Ray Gun

Thanks for all the great comments, already working on my next Ray Gun! Also looking as making a handheld sonic screwdriver-esque device. Here's a quick sketch of what I was thinking... Any ideas to make it better? Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Wow they look great! I'm really liking the green/blue/gold colour scheme! Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    Original Ray Gun

I was recently inspired by Greg Broadmore's art and especially Dr Grordbort's Infallible Aether Oscillators, so I decided to try and make my own. The blue colour scheme gives it more of am atompunk vibe than the more industrial Dr Grordbort inventions, but I think it works. The body of the...

Where to buy garage kits - UK

Hi, I am trying to find some movie prop/ model garage kits in the UK and I seem to be struggling. I have looked on ebay and etsy but there doesn't seem to be much of a selection. For fellow builders and especially garage kit makers; where do you find is the best place to look? Sent from my...
