IIRC those were reproductions made by Horch & Co (?), and the kits derived from them were available on Roddenberry.com. The comms and tricorders, too. They looked dang good IMHO.

Pshaw! That would be a TERRIBLE location for an micro-SDHC slot. Most that I'ved used had a spring-to-release feature, with about 1mm-2mm of the card exposed to touch. Such a protrusion would jam the hood mechanism. Also presents a possibility for the card to fall out and jam the mechanism. I...
