This is so awesome! I feel you on the lack of posts though. It's definitely quieted down lately.

I used canvas belts and dyed them with RitDye, I just kind of... untangled them by hand for the ends. Then I used yarn/wool whatever to do the embroidery kind of effect at the end and to connect the rings. My belt is finished by now.

Because I have the range of a potato in this thing, I couldn't put on the gloves and the shoulder did a weird thing. But we're nearly there.

I think you're missing the point of what I'm saying here. Does he know you're sharing his work for free here? Because you hired him personally, for personal use. I'm not sure if he'd appreciate it if you'd share it on here for free. If he knows this and is okay with that, I haven't said a word.
