The 1/350 Enterprise Refit (looking for tips on how to approach this monster)

Well, I think I am going to take the dive and finally build this monster. I have already ordered Paragraphix's Photoetched set. But I am currently deciding how I want to apply the aztec detail. Should I paint it on or should I go with a decal set? Does anyone know what happened to Acreation...

    Help Painting Pilot Figutes/Miniatures

That's great advice! Never thought of using flow enhancer that way before! Ah, I was just on Vallejo's site reading their FAQ's and apparantly Game Color and model color are intended for brushing. While they say model air and premium color are intended for use with airbrushes they supposedly...

    Help Painting Pilot Figutes/Miniatures

I have variety of their lines. Vallejo air is one of them. The one's I am currently attempting to use are their premium colors that come in the 60ml bottles.

    Help Painting Pilot Figutes/Miniatures

Hello all. I am currently building a star wars snowspeeder by bandai. And I am having a real hard time painting the pilot figures. I am currently using Vallejo brand paint. Just what I use in my airbrush. The problem is its either too thick, and thus leaves horribe brush streaks or to thin and...

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon To my eyes there is a hint of tan/yellowishness, to a lot of the reference photo's I've seen. I don't know if this is aging paint, a trick of the light or how its supposed to be. I thought It was floquil reefer white that was used for the 5-fter. I heard it...

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon Sorry, should have been clearer bout this. I don't mean the engine grill at the rear. I was talking about the six circular grills in the top rear of the falcon. Not sure what else to call them.

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon Something I'm not wholly clear on. The rear grills on the falcon. Are they the color of the hull and the black is what is underneath showing through. Or are they also painted straight black.

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon For people that want to avoid translucency problems, I find that painting the inner walls of the model black usually eliminates any translucency issues. I did this with my 1/48 scale Bandai Light and Motion X wing. Didn't have to use any of the dark stickers...

Need to replace my compressor, any suggestions on brands

Hi all. Just wondering what kind of compressors you all use. I had been using a paasche 3000r until it died. I replaced it but the air hose screw on the air tank is so loose that the adaptor that came with it just falls out. I returned this bad one and got another thinking this was a one off...

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon Yeah. I suppose for the sake of longevity painting them on is a better method. Still looking at some reference material it looks like they replicated the chipping pattern from the 5 footer pretty accurately. Just goes to show you how obsessive Bandai was when...

Custom scratch built sculptures any feed back welcome !

Nice work. Especially on the helmets. One critique, the bodies on the troopers seem a little stretched out/too long. BTW, love your batman. The scowl on his face is just perfect.
