    THE MALTESE FALCON.

Oz’s Falcon is great and given the quality, finish and options, good value too. I love mine.

    Blade Runner 2049 1/12 Scale K-Spinner

Great so far and I’m glad that you’re enjoying the build. Your lighting work is outstanding, far beyond me, but it’s going to look phenomenal. For supporting the front wheels, would it be possible to install a steel axle or anchor pin which could be engaged/ disengaged by an external magnet...

    Blade Runner 2049 1/12 Scale K-Spinner

These kits are slow builds, in my experience, but worth the investment. I have this Spinner ( early cast, pre ordered like yours) , but I’ve only checked it out and cleaned some parts. I built Randy’s BTTF train and need a break from the challenges of resin! Careful preparation and repeated test...

    BTTF3 Time Train (Randy Cooper)

Congratulations on the successful build. Great interior and display. Having built this kit, l know the vast amount of work required. The differences between the full size train, its various Studio Park display versions ( repaired, altered , repainted etc) and the studio miniature don’t help and...

Randy Cooper's Back To The Future Time Train.

Yes, it can be, sometimes it feels an achievement to simply survive a resin build ! I wouldn't recommend that anyone attempts the train as their first resin kit, find something smaller, simpler and cheaper. If you don't enjoy working with a resin kit, you wouldn't be alone. Best to concentrate...

Randy Cooper's Back To The Future Time Train.

It's a great kit. Resin being resin it's a lot of work and I often rebuilt details in plasticard, rod, brass wire etc rather than clean, fill and straighten the resin parts, I just found that approach more satisfying and I don't have the knack of getting resin pipes and circular parts cast parts...

Randy Cooper's Back To The Future Time Train.

Your painting skills look well up to the task, it looks a really nice build. I admit that since the wheels face downwards, I didn't pin stripe the faces of the wheels. Your stripes look really sharp and straight, do you have any tips/advice? I used a combination of masking and straight...

Randy Cooper's Back To The Future Time Train.

I've got some detailing and touching up to do, but couldn't resist imposing my (almost) finished train over monument valley. Lots of work and refinement on the resin kit, but I'm pleased. Anyone else working on this?

Curious tax question - selling off plane model due to move?

Generally, HMRC only look to recover tax on sales that arise from "anything in the nature of a trade". That includes income from hobbies. Regular sales,, such as continually or frequently selling models you have made, scarves you have knitted, cakes you have baked etc is likely to be regarded...

Blade Runner - Charles Rennie Mackintosh Argyle Chair

According to the Glasgow Museums/ Wendy Kaplan book, the originals were a dark stained oak frame and the seat fabric is blue with a stripe. Although numerous colours are seen with an image search and some original examples are reupholstered, the blue stripe material seems to be the original tea...
