New project for 2016 - Skeletor

Painted the ram skull for the staff today. The color doesn't show well in the photo. But it's kind of a metallic pewter now.

I'm also printing out a new skull mask. I still have the latex mask but I think it would be cool to have a rigid articulated skull mask. I'll see how it turns out.

New project for 2016 - Skeletor

I'm doing some more work on this costume. Making a new staff with a 3D printed ram skull I'll post pics when it's done. The final piece is printing now. Now that I have the actual statue I'm going to make some adjustments to my costume as well. Will be taking it to SDCC again this year!

Big Daddy (Kick Ass) Shoulder Armour Worbla Build

Looking fine! Question: is the chest still made out of the plastic from the cans? So just the shoulders are Worbla?

Big Daddy (Kick Ass) Shoulder Armour Worbla Build

Great job! I tried this costume a while ago and had the same nightmares about the shoulder armor. You've inspired me to try again. I have some Worbla laying around.

Building first 3D printed iron man suit

You can buy the mark 7 model from do3d. That's what I did. It's pretty good so far but the hands are incorrect. Your helmet looks good but is not accurate for a mark 7 if you decide to go that route. Would work for a mark 3 though. But I have yet to see files for that either.

3D Printed Iron Man Mk VII - Here we go again...

Do3d sent me new finger files as the ones that came with the mk7 were totally wrong as well. Now I just need to work out scaling. I printed out the devildog hand files and they are a tad too big. I don't want to waste anymore filament until I work out how to either scan myself or measure and...

3D Printed Iron Man Mk VII - Here we go again...

Thanks for the tip. Those files are much better. Reprinting the glove now. I kind of figured my first spool of filament was to blow on learning anyway.

Are you sure you're thinking of the Mark VII?

Just bought them. These are the only ones they sent me.

3D Printed Iron Man Mk VII - Here we go again...

I thought I was out. But now I've been pulled back in... I made an EVA foam Iron Man Mk VI a few years ago. I thought I was done with Iron Man. But then I got this... So now I bought a model of the Mk VII from http://www.do3d.com/. After much trial and error with various test files, I...

New project for 2016 - Skeletor

Heat wasn't bad at all. Luckily it cooled down that day and inside I was fine. My biggest problem was my chest harness was slipping back. You can see how the chest piece is too high in the photos. I need to remake that. Oh and when packing up to head home, my staff fell and the ram skull...
