It seems some of these replica/cosplay companies basically adopted (invented?) the Kickstarter/GoFundMe model. It's a great way to get started, but it doesn't appear to be a practical way to maintain a business. Hopefully there is a good resolution for all involved.

I've printed this and I get your wonders. There are some pieces that just have to get printed with supports but you can orient them so that the supports are printed on surfaces that are easily cleaned up or not seen. I've sucessfullly printed this on a Rostock Max V2 at home.
